Here, we introduce the manufacturing process of Zodia's flagship product: forged soft iron club heads.

Forged soft iron heads are now in stock.

After rough hammering, the burrs are removed, and then the finishing hammering is done again.

The club number is stamped onto the sole.

Weight Adjustment

NC Smoothing

The face surface, ground with a grinder, is further refined to a perfectly flat surface using an NC machining centre.

Scoreline Stamp

The face of the club is machined smooth, and scorelines are stamped into it with uniform thickness and width.

Loft and lie angle adjustment

Generally, adjustments are made by bending, but at Zodia, Chiba adjusts them by hammering. This process allows for fine-tuning with a natural curve.

Cavity NC machining

The back face design is created using three-dimensional machining.

Polishing

Then, after colouring and final inspection, the club is complete. In this way, Zodia clubs achieve a quality that mass-produced items can never replicate, with Chiba himself handling many of the processes and taking a long time to create each club.
